Larry is the pastor of Bartimaeus Baptist Temple, a church in Dallas, Texas, which exists to equip people with disabilities to find and fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. He likes to say, “Bartimaeus is not blind! He was healed by Jesus because he would not be dissuaded from pursuing Him. Once he received his sight, he continued to follow Jesus. Bartimaeus’s legacy is not that he was blind but that he believed. We want to be known as a church that believes and follows Jesus.”

Larry was born blind and credits the prayers of his parents for the little vision he has now. He graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, with a degree in management information systems in 1997. He worked at Bank of America as a computer programmer for twenty-four years before leaving the company in 2021 and now works on contract. He lives in Richardson, Texas, with his wife, Linda, in a house full of gadgets. His interests include technology, books, music, and current events.
